“They have obviously overdid it now, saying such things about a living
person,” State Duma vice-speaker said
MOSCOW, March 04. /ITAR-TASS/. The State Duma has dismissed as “a newspaper war” the reports alleging that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was dead.
“What is going on now is no other than a media war,” Duma Vice-speaker Vladimir Vasilyev told journalists on Tuesday. “Reports have been circulated that Yanukovych is allegedly “dead”. They have obviously overdid it now, saying such things about a living person,” the vice-speaker said.
“Viktor Yanukovych is not staying in Ukraine now. He was ousted from power, but Yanukovych remains the only legitimate body of power because none of the provisions of the Ukrainian constitution has been observed to oust him,” the vice-speaker said.
