At least seven Taliban militants have been killed and three others wounded in recent military operations carried out by Afghan national security forces across the country, Press TV reports.
The Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that operations were conducted in different parts of the war-torn country, including the provinces of Baghlan, Zabul, Uruzgan and Farah, during the past 24 hours.
Seven Taliban militants were killed, three wounded and six others arrested by the security forces during the mop-up operations, the statement added. No casualties were reported on the side of security forces.
Afghan National Police also seized certain amounts of weapons and ammunition used by the militants.
Taliban has made no comments on the report so far.
